On Feb. 4, 2023, the world suffered a tremendous loss when Pierre Lipton passed away unexpectedly after finishing a marathon. Pierre is a son, brother, partner, friend, colleague, and amazing human being.

A philanthropic foundation is being established in Pierre's memory to support charitable organizations consistent with Pierre's passions. Organizations will be vetted by a committee consisting of philanthropic experts, family, friends, and colleagues; causes include:

- Food security
- Environmental protection and restoration
- Physical activity programs for the underprivileged
- Animal welfare
